FishSounds Educate is a free educational program that aims to use the topic of bioacoustics (biological sounds) to encourage future conservation leaders and enhance ocean literacy across Canada. The program derives content from scientific papers, bioacoustic experts, and the FishSounds Catalogue. By incorporating these resources with feedback from educators, we have developed workshops and seminars for elementary- to university-level learners and the public.

We collaborate with educators in a range of settings, including schools, aquariums, nature clubs and other public education programs. We began visiting these spaces in January 2023, and are continuing to make connections with educators interested in participating.
Our team will visit your classroom or educational space to deliver a workshop, tailored to your topics of interest and the education level of the participants. These can be conducted over Zoom or in-person, across Canada.
