The species name used by the author(s) was Pogonias courbina.

Description

This paper studied Pogonias courbina and identified it as a distinct species from Pogonias cromis, but P. courbina is not yet an accepted species in our taxonomic authority, FishBase, so the studied species is listed as P. cromis.
