"As part of an environmental monitoring programme conducted for BHP Billiton Iron Ore, two Curtin University-Defence Science and Technology Organization designed sea-noise logger moorings were deployed on the seabed of Port Hedland’s inshore and offshore waters by RPS MetOcean staff. Deployed 21.5 km apart (Figure 1), one logger was positioned a few hundred m from the coast, in 10 m of water (Inshore Site), and the other approximately 20 km offshore, in 18 m of water (Offshore Site).
